The National Guard and the Mexican Army have confiscated 50 packages of suspected cocaine on the southeastern coast of Cozumel, near Tortugas Beach. These packages bear striking similarities to those recently seized in the area.

The seizure took place during a foot patrol, part of the joint operations conducted by the National Guard and the Mexican Army. The packages were found at the edge of the beach, wrapped in black rubber and clear tape. Each rectangular package measured approximately 22 centimeters long, 14 wide, and 4 high.

Several of the packages featured an image of an "Eagle" and contained a compact, damp white substance. Given its appearance, it is believed to be a type of narcotic. Each package weighs approximately one kilogram.

Following the discovery, the packages were collected and handed over to the Federal Prosecutor's Office for further investigation and proper handling.

It is estimated that between five and seven boats carrying drugs for the Sinaloa cartel arrive on the shores of Quintana Roo each week.
