The Mexican Caribbean Hotel Council (CHCM) has recently appointed a new board of directors and welcomed the Holbox Hotel Association as an active member. This move is a part of the CHCM's ongoing efforts to solidify its standing as a key player in the national tourism industry.
The CHCM, which represents the major hotel associations in the region, is committed to leading the Mexican Caribbean tourist industry. The council aims to promote tourism that benefits the region's economy, society, and environment.
Representing over 130,000 rooms in the region, the CHCM introduced its new board of directors. The team includes David Ortiz Mena as president, Raul Andrade Angulo as vice president, Beatriz Tinajero Tarriba as secretary, and Antonio Chaves Palomo as treasurer.
The council acknowledged the contributions of Jesus Almaguer Salazar and the leadership of Ortiz Mena in sustainable tourism initiatives and community development. These efforts are essential for implementing responsible practices and creating local jobs.
The CHCM also extended a warm welcome to the Holbox Hotel Association, further enhancing its representation in the region.
