Cancun is gearing up for the Cancun Unites Us Half Marathon 2024, a sporting event that will bring excitement and energy to the city. However, this event will also necessitate some traffic modifications. Here's what you need to know about the road changes that will be put in place by the Traffic Department of Benito Juarez on Sunday, December 8th.

The traffic changes will be in effect from 4:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., impacting the areas of Malecon Tajamar and Bonampak Avenue. These zones will be partially closed to ensure the safety of both participants and spectators.

For those needing to travel during these hours, alternative routes are suggested. These include:

  • Tulum Avenue
  • Coba Avenue
  • Nichupté Avenue

Citizens should take the following precautions:

  • Plan your travel routes ahead of time to avoid delays.
  • Adhere to traffic signs and the directions of on-site staff.
  • If it's not essential to drive near the event area, consider delaying your trip or choosing routes further away.

The Cancun Unites Us Half Marathon 2024 is more than just a race. It's a celebration of physical activity and community engagement in Cancun. The event attracts hundreds of runners and spectators, boosting sports tourism in the region.
