Soriana Híper Huayacán, the newest addition to the Soriana chain, will officially open on Huayacán Avenue in Cancún this Wednesday at noon. This store is one of the largest in the state and will operate 24 hours a day. The project, which cost 372 million pesos, has created 1,587 indirect jobs, thereby boosting the local economy.
This new store brings Soriana's total count to 820 across Mexico, with 26 in Quintana Roo state and 17 in Cancún alone. The launch of this store follows the recent opening of Soriana's first store in Tulum, demonstrating the company's commitment to the region's economic development.
Soriana Híper Huayacán will offer online sales services with in-store pickup or home delivery options. The store will also house 18 additional commercial spaces, including a yet-to-be-announced "sub-anchor" store. The store plans to work with approximately 30 local suppliers to promote the sale of regional products.
Soriana employs over 3,500 people in Quintana Roo, further establishing its presence and creating jobs in the region. Prior to the opening, store manager Mireya Zurita Andrade and deputy director of Corporate Communication, Public Relations and Customer Service, Mireya Reyes Gómez, emphasized the company's commitment to its customers and the community.
With over 50 years of experience, Soriana continues to provide a comprehensive shopping experience, offering a mix of international and regional products. The company is also considering its investment plan for 2025, which may include opening more stores in Quintana Roo.
Special promotions will be available to customers during the store's opening this Wednesday from noon, marking a significant moment in Cancún's commercial sector.
