Los Ángeles Azules, a popular Mexican band, drew a crowd of over 10,000 people at the Playa del Carmen fairgrounds. The concert was part of the "Magic Christmas" festivities, organized by municipal president Estefanía Mercado for the families of Solidaridad.
The night was filled with excitement as the band, originally from Mexico City, entertained the crowd for two hours. They played a range of their hit songs including "El listón de tu pelo", "Amor a primera vista", "¿Cómo te voy a olvidar?", "17 años", "Hay amor", "Nunca es suficiente" and "El amor de mi vida". The main stage lights came on at 9pm, attracting families from Playa del Carmen and neighboring cities like Puerto Aventuras, Cancún, Puerto Morelos and Tulum, as well as visitors from various parts of the country.
The concert was a rhythmic blend of cumbia and salsa, a style that has charmed both Mexicans and foreigners for decades. The event was organized by the municipal government of Solidaridad as part of their holiday season celebrations, aimed at strengthening social ties and spreading peace, harmony, and happiness among the population. The concert was also a part of the municipality's commitment to promoting culture and providing free access to quality artistic events.
The "Magic Christmas" festivities began on December 7th with the traditional lighting of the Christmas tree in Plaza 28 de Julio, followed by Christmas shows and a performance of the ballet "The Nutcracker". Three ice rinks were also opened in front of the old Municipal Palace, Villas del Sol and the Puerto Aventuras town hall.
The municipal authorities have announced that a second grand concert will take place on December 30th to bid farewell to the year. This time, the concert will feature Arrolladora Banda Limón and will be held at the same fairgrounds on CTM Avenue.
