Alleged Criminal Gang Members Apprehended in Cancun
The State Attorney General's Office has reported the arrest of five individuals, including the suspected leader of a criminal group, Raul “N”, also known as “Güero Palma”. The group, named after its leader, is believed to be involved in drug trafficking and extortion activities in Costa Mujeres, located in the continental area of Isla Mujeres. These individuals were also identified as high-priority targets on the state's Criminal Atlas.
The arrests were made in collaboration with the "Interinstitutional Task Force 100 Days Benito Juarez". The suspects were apprehended while allegedly committing crimes. The individuals arrested include Raul “N”, aka “Güero Palma”, Axel Raul “N”, Kevin Yahir “N”, Josefina Candelaria “N”, and Kimberly “N”. They are suspected of offenses against public health, specifically drug dealing, and violations of the Federal Firearms and Explosives Law.
The arrests took place at the intersection of Arco Vial and Rancho Viejo avenues, in the 242nd superblock of the municipality. The suspects have been handed over to the Public Ministry.
