On Tuesday, Mayor Estefanía Mercado inaugurated a brand-new Civic Plaza in Puerto Aventuras, a vibrant coastal community within the municipality of Solidaridad. Built at a cost of 10 million pesos, the plaza is designed to enhance social integration and local development for the area’s 22,000 residents.

The opening ceremony coincided with the annual Three Kings Day celebrations, adding a festive atmosphere to the event. Mayor Mercado joined children in cutting the traditional bread, symbolizing unity and the joy of community. Located on Chechén Street, between Xiat and Huaya Streets, the Civic Plaza was completed in an impressive 60 days, a testament to the efficiency of the project.

The ceremony was attended by federal deputy Juan Carrillo, DIF Municipal President Eduardo Asencio, and members of the municipal council and cabinet, underscoring the project’s importance to the region’s development.
