Ana Paty Peralta, the Municipal President, has been working tirelessly to foster a culture of peace, respect, and crime prevention in Cancun. In 2024, she initiated a range of activities through the Institute of Culture and the Arts, engaging over 507,089 residents and visitors.

Peralta's initiatives included the program "Art and Culture in Every Corner of Cancun," held in schools and other priority areas. This program benefited over 1,350 children and young adults, offering workshops in creative writing, puppetry, reading, and embroidery.

In an effort to encourage family unity, Peralta also highlighted the performances of choir, theatre, and folkloric ballet companies throughout the city. These companies performed 145 shows at various locations, attracting over 28,930 spectators.

To further promote social cohesion, Peralta introduced programs such as "Afternoon Dance," "As Cancun Sings," and "Sundays are for Family Music." These, along with free reading classes and theatre plays, were held in the Foundational Zone and engaged over 36,409 people.

Lastly, Peralta emphasized the importance of maintaining Cancun's unique identity and multiculturalism. To this end, the city hosted several large-scale events such as the Cancun Carnival 2024, Guelaguetza 2024, IV Janal Pixan 2024, Second Festival of the Girl and Boy, National Corn Fair, Ball Cheese Fair, and the Butoh Dance Festival. These events filled the city with joy and color, reflecting the vibrant culture of Cancun.
