The Tulum Municipal Government recently held its second service caravan in Akumal, providing the community with easier access to various facilities for property tax payment for 2025. Tulum's Municipal President, Diego Castañón Trejo, encouraged citizens to take advantage of the available discounts and incentives, emphasizing that their participation will help enhance the municipality's services and public infrastructure.
The goal of this government initiative is to make municipal offices more accessible to the community, simplifying the process of property tax-related tasks. During the event, a 30 percent discount was given on tax payments. Additionally, attendees received raffle tickets for prizes and were provided with garbage containers to encourage proper waste management.
President Trejo highlighted the importance of property tax as a crucial civic contribution. He explained that it not only provides legal security to family assets but also enables investment in infrastructure and public service improvements, which are key priorities for his administration.
During the service caravan, various departments provided services to the community. The DIF system attended to 17 individuals, 23 citizens received services from the Municipal Health Department, 137 were assisted by the Revenue Department, and 80 came to request public services.
The event demonstrated the active engagement of the Akumal community and underscored the municipal government's commitment to making services more accessible to its residents.
