The Quintana Roo Swimming team showcased their skills and agility in the water, successfully qualifying 22 athletes for the 2024 National Conade Games in the category of artistic swimming.
The team from the Caribbean region advanced in 10 different routines at the National Qualifying Championship held in Guadalajara. This event brought together the country's top competitors. In the Major Child category, the team qualified in the Free Duet routine, thanks to the efforts of Emilia Palenzona and Pilar Quintana. They also qualified in the Free Team event, with team members María José Pierce, María José Cruz, Rebeca Sofía Santos, Emilia Palenzona, and Pilar Quintana.
In the Youth division, Quintana Roo qualified in Free Duet 1 with Isabela Gomez and Gabriela Perlestain, and Free Duet 2 with Thais Rivera and Regina Quintana. They also secured a spot in the Free Team event. The team included Isabela Gomez, Gabriela Perlestain, Thais Rivera, Regina Quintana, Renata Barroso, Yvanna Rodriguez, Paola Marin, Ana Camila Magaña, and Romina Vallejos.
In the Junior category, Daniela Pineda and Sophia Zamora excelled, advancing in both the Technical Duet and Free Duet routines. They were joined by Valentina Tec, Esdra Canul, Camila Villanueva, Aranza González, and Luna Rodriguez, who qualified in three events: the Technical Team, Free Team, and Acrobatic Team.
Throughout the competition, Quintana Roo secured a total of six medals, including two gold, three silver, and one bronze. The gold medals were won in the Men's Solo and Mixed Duet events in the Minor Child category. Silver medals were won in the Free Solo of the Minor Child category, as well as in the Men's Solo and Mixed Duet of the Youth category. The Junior Free Team took home the bronze medal.
