AMLO’s Son Set to Wed on Yucatán Peninsula

Gonzalo Alfonso, the third son of former president Andrés Manuel López Obrador, is preparing to tie the knot this weekend on the Yucatán Peninsula. Based on details shared on social media, Alfonso will wed Valentina Martínez Pedreguera on Saturday, February 1st. Alfonso, a Sociology graduate from UNAM, and Pedreguera, an art restorer who graduated in 2021, make an interesting couple.

Images of the couple's wedding registry at El Palacio de Hierro have been circulating online. The registry initially included the couple's full names and the date of the event. However, after the information started to spread, the couple's surnames were removed from the registry, although the event link remains active.

At the time of this report, only seven items were still available on the registry. The most expensive item was a "lounge basket" priced at 3,535 pesos, and the least expensive was a "two-piece set with salt and pepper mill", priced at a discounted rate of 629.30 pesos.
