The parents of a two-year-old child named Emiliano are seeking accountability for what they claim was medical negligence at the Institute of Security and Social Services for State Workers (ISSSTE) in Cancun. They believe this negligence contributed to their son's death.

Emiliano was admitted to the ISSSTE clinic in Cancun after a relapse in his health. According to his parents, there were several instances of negligence during his hospital stay. These included the loss of a catheter and multiple convulsions.

The parents also reported their concerns to the medical staff about a potential case of pneumonia. Despite their worries, no further investigation was undertaken by the clinic.

Emiliano tragically passed away on January 22. A subsequent medical certificate, issued by a private hospital, revealed that the cause of death was pneumonia, which had been present for five days. Despite the parents' earlier concerns, this diagnosis had not been made at the ISSSTE clinic.
