A tourist visiting Tulum has taken to social media to highlight the poor service she received from a local bike rental company, KarKun Tulum. The incident led to her missing her flight and incurring an additional expense of $1,000.

The tourist, Silvia Marchy, rented a bike from KarKun Tulum for two days. As a guarantee, she left her Green Card with the company, with the understanding that it would be returned to her before 11:00 a.m. However, the company's manager failed to appear at the agreed time. Despite her repeated attempts to contact him, he only responded later in the afternoon, by which time it was too late for her to retrieve her document and make her flight.

The delay resulted in Silvia missing her scheduled flight, forcing her to buy a new ticket and causing issues at her workplace. When she visited the shop to seek an explanation, the staff refused to provide any information about the manager's whereabouts. According to Silvia's account, they also displayed a defiant attitude towards her complaints.

In response to her ordeal, Silvia shared her experience on social media, warning other visitors about KarKun Tulum's service and advising them to avoid renting bikes from this company. Her post has sparked a wave of sympathy and outrage among users, some of whom have shared similar experiences with bike rentals in the area.

There is now a call for the relevant authorities to investigate this matter and take necessary action to prevent such incidents from negatively impacting the tourist experience in Tulum.
