Visitor Caught Stealing Seashells in Cancún

A visitor was recently filmed at a beach in Cancún's Hotel Zone, removing three seashells from the shoreline. This activity is prohibited for both locals and tourists due to its potential to harm the marine ecosystems that depend on the sandbanks.

A National Guard member attempted to intervene, but the individual was able to make off with two of the seashells. The footage quickly gained traction online, sparking frustration among viewers over the visitor's actions.

Another beachgoer who observed the incident managed to recover one of the stolen shells and returned it to the sea. They stressed that the seashells belong in their natural habitat and should not be removed.
