In a horrifying incident, a child was brutally attacked by a Rottweiler in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo. The owner of the dog fled the scene, leaving the child with injuries on various parts of the body. The whereabouts of the dog's owner remain unknown.

This attack follows a similar incident that occurred just a month ago when a pitbull injured two girls. The recent attack involved a seven-year-old child who was bitten by a Rottweiler for reasons yet to be determined. The child was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The dog bit the child on the chest, back, and arm, while the owners watched without intervening. The child's father managed to prevent the situation from escalating further.

The owner of the dog has since been penalized.

The attack took place on a beach on Constituyentes Avenue. Following the incident, there has been a surge in social media discussions about the need to regulate the presence of dogs on public beaches, particularly in areas frequented by children. Many argue that children's safety should be prioritized over pet-friendly policies.

Suggestions have been made to direct dog owners to designated pet-friendly beaches to prevent future incidents. It has also been proposed that local law enforcement, including the Marina and National Guard, should enforce these regulations and guide dog owners to the appropriate locations. This is seen as a necessary step to prevent further dog attacks.
