17-year-old influencer, Marianne Gonzaga, from Cancún, is facing legal proceedings after being accused of stabbing her ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend. The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, February 5, in the Álvaro Obregón district of Mexico City. Gonzaga has been charged with causing injuries that endanger life.

Following her arrest, Gonzaga was placed in preventive detention at a juvenile justice center. During a hearing on Tuesday, February 11, which lasted over five hours, the judge decided to initiate a criminal process against Gonzaga. The judge also allowed a two-month period for further investigation.

On February 5, Gonzaga was arrested in the capital after allegedly stabbing model Valentina Gilabert, her ex-boyfriend's new partner. The General Attorney's Office of Justice of Mexico City reported that Gonzaga would be charged with the crime of aggravated injuries for attacking Gilabert with a sharp weapon.

The case has sparked controversy, with some arguing that Gonzaga should be charged with feminicide, despite her age, due to the premeditated nature of her actions. Gonzaga, who has thousands of followers on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, recently moved to Cancún from where she is believed to have traveled to meet her ex-boyfriend on the day of the attack.

On her social media accounts, Gonzaga, now in prison, shared beauty routines and presented herself as a "mommy blogger", posting content about baby care and sharing moments with her son.

It is reported that Gonzaga traveled from Cancún to Mexico City with the intention of reuniting with her ex-boyfriend. Upon arriving, she found him with his new girlfriend, leading to a heated argument that ended in a knife attack. Leaked audio recordings suggest that Gonzaga acted with malice, leading to calls from the victim's family and others for stricter sanctions.
