Governor Mara Lezama Unveils Luxury Hotel in Costa Mujeres: A Game-Changer in Quintana Roo!

Mara Lezama recently officiated the grand opening of the Excellence Coral Playa Mujeres Hotel in Quintana Roo. This new hotel is expected to create 3,000 direct and indirect jobs and boasts 470 rooms. The governor emphasized the need for a more humanized approach to tourism and acknowledged the crucial role of tourism industry workers.

Lezama was joined by several business leaders and local authorities at the event. She emphasized the importance of continued investment in the tourism sector to further establish Quintana Roo as a premier tourist destination. The opening of this hotel is the first of many new hotel projects slated for completion by 2025. These projects are expected to add nearly 2,500 additional rooms to the region's accommodation offerings.

The governor also highlighted the strides made in the tourism sector over the past year. This includes a significant increase in tourist numbers and a substantial boost to the region's economy. She also pointed out the importance of major infrastructure projects, such as the Maya Train and the Tulum International Airport, in further enhancing Quintana Roo's tourism appeal.

In her address, Lezama emphasized that this new phase of tourism aims to ensure investment security and promote sustainable development in the state. With the inauguration of the new hotel in Costa Mujeres, she reaffirmed her commitment to fostering shared prosperity and inclusive growth for all residents of Quintana Roo.
