In honor of International Women's Day, the Cozumel Parks and Museums Foundation (FPMC) is inviting the public to the symbolic purple illumination of the Island Museum's facade. This event is a tribute to the ongoing struggle for gender equality. Following the lighting, the "Feeling and Passion" exhibition will be unveiled. This collection, from the Pascual Workers Cultural Foundation and Art, will be showcased on Friday, March 7, at 7 pm, at the Island Museum.
The Pascual Cultural Foundation was established through the generosity of visual artists who donated their works to support the Pascual Workers Cooperative Society. As time passed, the workers chose to maintain the collection and set up the foundation. Their goal was to promote, inspire, and spread the diverse cultural expressions of the Mexican people.
The "Feeling and Passion" exhibition offers a glimpse into contemporary Mexican painting and graphics. It features works by esteemed artists like Fanny Rabel, Flor Minor, Rina Lazo, and Carla Elena Name, among others. The exhibition is scheduled for Friday, March 7 at 7 pm at the museum center and is open to all. Attendees are encouraged to wear purple clothing or accessories as a sign of support for International Women's Day.
