The picturesque port of Progreso is preparing to welcome over 2,000 attendees for the World Beach Volleyball Tour Challenge Yucatan 2025. This event is expected to bring significant economic benefits to local service providers throughout the duration of the tournament.

From March 19 to March 23, the World Beach Volleyball Tour Challenge Yucatan 2025 will take place in Puerto Progreso. The event will feature 160 athletes, 100 coaches, 40 referees, and 9 delegates from the International Beach Volleyball Federation (FIVP). Four courts will be set up to accommodate the games, with seating for 2,000 spectators.

The stunning beaches of Progreso will serve as the backdrop for the 2025 World Beach Volleyball Tour Mexico. Preparations are well underway, with the assembly of grandstands along a large portion of the Traditional Malecón beach nearing completion.

The tournament will bring together the top 32 women's and men's teams from around the globe, including Olympic and world champions. Rommel Pacheco Marrufo, director of Conade, revealed that the states of Yucatan and Quintana Roo will be the hosts for the 2025 World Beach Volleyball Tour Mexico, set to take place next March.

Pacheco highlighted the benefits of hosting such events, saying, "These events not only generate economic benefits and elevate our global standing, but they also bring Olympic athletes to Mexico, inspiring more children and young people to participate in sports."

The Challenge category tournament is part of the World Tour of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and Volleyball World (VW), and will feature the top 32 women's and men's teams in the world, including Olympic and world champions.

Following the Yucatan tournament, the World Beach Volleyball Tour Elite 16 will be held in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, from March 26 to March 30.
