The inaugural International Theater Festival is set to kick off in Playa del Carmen. Organized by the Municipal Institute of Culture and Arts (IMCAS) and the Government of Solidaridad, the festival will showcase a variety of performances from both regional and international talents.

Santiago Ernesto Martínez Cuéllar, the general director of IMCAS, has shared the festival's dual objectives. Firstly, it aims to provide a platform for local artists and cultural administrators to engage with industry experts. Secondly, it seeks to offer residents and visitors high-quality performances featuring both national and international actors.

Theater enthusiasts in Playa del Carmen are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the details of this exciting event, including the lineup of artists, performance venues, and schedule.

The festival, supported by the municipal president Estefanía Mercado, will take place from March 17 to 23. It will feature artists from Playa del Carmen, Chetumal, Mexico City, Chiapas, and Colombia, reflecting its international scope.

Performances will be held at various locations, including the Bellavista, Cultural Center, and City Theater of Solidaridad. The festival promises to present a range of national and international works, with highlights including "The Great Jump of Jacinto", "A Song for Sororia", "Oars or the virtue of jumping over a puddle", and "Huraclown".

This inaugural International Theater Festival is a must-see event for anyone visiting or residing in Playa del Carmen.
