Bikers Rescued After Going Missing in Ejido Constituyentes del 74

Emergency responders and local residents assisting at an accident scene, with one officer wrapped in a green vest and a motorcycle rider sitting down.

Six bikers, who had lost contact for several hours in Ejido Constituyentes del 74, a neighboring municipality of Lázaro Cárdenas, have been found safe and sound. One of the hikers was Thomas Luis, a Canadian who was reported missing on Sunday the 16th. An Amber Alert was issued for him in Quintana Roo on Monday.

The bikers had embarked on a motorcycle excursion through the jungle last Sunday. When contact was lost, a coordinated search operation was launched. This operation involved the State Citizen Security Secretariat, the Municipal Citizen Security Secretariat, and the Civil Protection, Risk Prevention and Firefighter Secretariat.

The group of six, including the owner of the company, were part of an excursion led by the Texas Charte Pirates company. The company is based in the Puerto Aventuras complex and they had ventured into the jungle on the west side of the federal highway, opposite Xpuha.

After several hours without any communication from them and the activation of a search operation, information about their location in Ejido Constituyentes del 74 (Municipality of Lázaro Cárdenas) was received. The search teams then proceeded to the location to assist them.
