The Quintana Roo Government has initiated a new program aimed at supporting the state's fishing industry. Titled 'Boost to Fishing and Aquaculture,' the program is designed to assist producers engaged in rural sector activities, particularly those residing in the State's Priority Attention Zones.
The program's objective is to stimulate growth and productivity within the aquaculture, fishing, and Sport-Recreational Fishing sectors. This is expected to enhance the social and economic conditions of the state's aquaculturists and fishermen. The program offers financial support, covering either 50% or 100% of the total invoice for approved items. This assistance is granted once a year, and is intended to help fishermen and aquaculturists purchase necessary inputs, tools, and equipment to bolster their productive capacity.
To be eligible for the program, both individuals and legal entities within the state must meet certain criteria. This includes providing official identification, registration certificates, proof of address, among other documents. The program is designed to provide support that will positively impact the family and work economy of the participants.
