Cozumel is set to come alive with music, flavors, and vibrant colors for the 176th edition of the traditional El Cedral Fair. This event has been declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of the State of Quintana Roo. It is held in honor of Santa Cruz de Sabán, and commemorates the arrival of the 21 founding families of the namesake town during the Caste War in 1848.
What began as a religious celebration has grown to include a wide array of experiences that showcase the diverse culture of Cozumel, recently named a Magic Town. Visitors can expect a range of recreational, artistic, cultural, and sports activities that highlight the multicultural value of the Mexican Caribbean.
This event is not just a cultural experience, but also a complement to the sun, beach, water, nature and adventure activities that this world-class paradise destination offers. The El Cedral Fair truly encapsulates the spirit and tradition of Cozumel, making it a must-visit event for both locals and tourists alike.
