Resorts and recreational centers in the city of Morelos are experiencing a surge in activity due to the high temperatures. Local families are flocking to these locations in an attempt to escape the heat.

Josué Acevedo Luit, a restaurateur and resort owner, shared that while the extreme heat has negatively impacted certain sectors such as farming, it has been a boon for the recreational industry. He noted a significant increase in visitors to resorts and paddling pools, leading to a boost in profits.

The restaurant industry within these recreational centers is also reaping the benefits, as families dine in. This has led to increased tips for the staff. However, Luit did acknowledge that customers are still being cautious with their spending, particularly when it comes to seafood due to recent price hikes.

In response to the competitive market, many resort owners are now allowing visitors to bring their own food and simply pay for the use of the facilities. This strategy seems to be working, as the surge in visitors shows no signs of slowing down.
