A man was recently arrested in the Ejido neighborhood of Cancún, suspected of possessing marijuana. Officers from the Solidaridad Municipal Police were patrolling the area around 22nd Street and 105th Avenue when they noticed the individual.
The man, who was leaning against an Italika brand motorcycle, appeared to be handling packages that were suspected to contain marijuana. Upon closer inspection, the police discovered 15 packages of the plant among his possessions.
The suspect, a 30-year-old man named Oscar "N" from Tabasco, was subsequently handed over to the State Attorney General's Office. The authorities will now determine his responsibilities in the matter.
