A tragic car accident on the Tulum-Playa del Carmen highway claimed the lives of a couple. The incident occurred when their vehicle was struck by a fast-moving van. Eyewitnesses have suggested that a faulty maneuver by the couple's vehicle may have led to the fatal collision.
The accident happened just before midnight, near the town of Akumal. The couple was reportedly driving an Aveo-type car towards Tulum. However, while attempting to turn around, they failed to notice an oncoming van traveling at high speed, resulting in a devastating collision.
The impact of the crash caused the immediate death of the couple. The occupants of the Sorento-type van sustained multiple injuries. Following the incident, officials from the Attorney General's Office of Quintana Roo arrived at the scene to carry out necessary procedures.
