Adrián Fernández Poveda, a man from Alcira, Valencia in Spain, suffered a heart attack and fell into a coma while on his honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico. The shocking incident has caught the attention of social media users worldwide. Poveda was vacationing in the tropical paradise with his wife, Sofía Parada Vaya, and their 7-year-old son, when tragedy struck.

While swimming in their hotel pool, Poveda began to choke and required immediate medical attention. It is believed that a severe case of indigestion triggered a cardiac arrest, which led to him being placed into a medically induced coma.

Despite successfully reviving his vital signs, Poveda remained unconscious. Given the severity of his condition, he was moved to a different hospital with more advanced medical facilities.

His wife, Sofía, shared the distressing news on her Facebook page, revealing that their travel insurance was insufficient to cover the escalating hospital bills. The costs had already exceeded the policy limit within just two days. She described the situation as critical, with Poveda's condition showing no signs of improvement.

Sofía also disclosed that the Spanish embassy has been informed of their predicament. However, it remains unclear what assistance they can provide.
