The Citizen Security Secretariat has ramped up security at the port facilities in Playa and Cozumel. This is part of an effort to prevent and combat illegal activities, and to ensure the safety of port users.

In addition to increased surveillance, the security personnel are also engaging in community outreach. This is to build trust with local residents and visitors, providing guidance as needed.

This initiative is designed to detect and prevent criminal activities. As part of this, random inspections and checks are being carried out on individuals using the port facilities.

The Citizen Security Secretariat stated that these measures, among others, are part of their commitment to maintaining peace. They are actively working towards creating a safer environment for everyone.
