This week, Tulum International Airport's new Passport Office began operations. The office, located at the "Felipe Carrillo Puerto" terminal, will be open Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 6 pm.

The establishment of this new facility was overseen by the Secretary of Foreign Affairs (SRE). Its opening is expected to help ease demand and prevent both tourists and locals from needing to travel further afield to process their passports.

The primary goal of the Passport Office is to streamline and speed up the passport acquisition process for citizens of Quintana Roo and travelers arriving at the newly opened air terminal.
