The Electoral Tribunal of Quintana Roo (Teqroo) has revoked the candidacies of José Luis "Chanito" Toledo Medina, a syndic in Solidaridad, Ana Gabriela Arana, a syndic in Cozumel, and Yamina Rosado Ibarra, the first councillor in Othón P. Blanco. All three were part of the PAN-PRI coalition. The decision was made due to their failure to meet affirmative action requirements for disability.
The Plenary of the Electoral Tribunal of Quintana Roo (TEQROO) unanimously approved the revocation of agreements 105 and 98 of the General Council of the Electoral Institute of Quintana Roo (IEQROO). This decision effectively cancels the registration of the proprietary syndicates in the Municipality of Solidaridad and Cozumel, who were nominated by the coalition "Strength and Heart for Quintana Roo".
The first case concerns the Trial for the Protection of the Political Electoral Rights of the Citizens of Quintana Roo. The Tribunal found that the candidates did not meet the necessary requirements for their respective positions.
