Fernanda Alvear Palacios, the "Fuerza y Corazón" coalition candidate for Municipal President of Puerto Morelos, has recently outlined her government project proposals to the local community. Her plan, which focuses on five main sectors, has been met with strong approval from the public.
Alvear, a nominee from the PRI and PAN parties, has been engaging with residents from the La Fe and Tierra Nueva neighborhoods. These areas are home to around 500 families. Alvear has been visiting each household to explain her plans for improving infrastructure. These include enhancements to public lighting, road signage, electrification of communal spaces, paving, and the installation of speed bumps.
"We are transparent in our plans, and we promise not to let you down," Alvear assured the residents, accompanied by members of the municipal council. She emphasized that while the residents have legal ownership of their properties, her aim is to use her leadership to further improve living conditions and well-being in the community.
Alvear was warmly received by the residents, who attentively listened to her proposals. "I am concerned about the safety of women who have to work in areas with no light. I want to ensure that our streets are safer, with adequate lighting to prevent any potential incidents of abuse or assault," she said.
Alvear stressed that her commitment to the citizens is what motivates her to work tirelessly for those who need it most. She expressed gratitude to the coalition parties for giving her the opportunity to serve.
"I didn't get this opportunity through personal interests or favors. I earned it through a coalition that recognized my work when I was elected councilor," she said.
Alvear also highlighted her plans to implement a paving and zero potholes program, construct a bike path along Joaquin Zetina Gasca Avenue, remodel the central park, maintain public beach access, renovate the main dock, and install street lights throughout the municipality. This has led to Fernanda Alvear gaining increased support in Puerto Morelos, including from families in La Fe and Tierra Nueva.
