The Yucatan Government has issued a statement regarding the recent discovery of five bodies near the Merida Peripheral road. The deaths, which have occurred over the past two months, have raised concerns among local residents.
The government has clarified that none of the deaths appear to be the result of criminal activity. The deceased individuals were found at various locations near the Peripheral, but not directly on the road. In each case, the cause of death was determined to be natural.
The first case, which occurred on April 1, was a person found near the El Porvenir colonies. The cause of death was determined to be an acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack.
Two additional cases were reported on April 5. The first individual was found near the Cholul police station and also died of a heart attack. The second person was discovered near the Los Heroes residential area and had also suffered an acute myocardial infarction.
On May 2, a person was found deceased inside a trailer. Forensic examination revealed that the individual had also died of a heart attack.
The most recent case, reported on May 13, involved a person found in warehouses in Puente Anikabil. The cause of death was once again determined to be a heart attack.
In all cases, the individuals showed no signs of injury or indications of any criminal activity. The government's statement aims to reassure the public that these deaths were natural and not the result of foul play.
