Four people were injured in a late-night road accident in southern Quintana Roo. The incident occurred at 11:15 pm on Wednesday, May 15, when a truck from the Maya Train project collided with a tourism truck on Highway 186, near Francisco Villa.
The accident was promptly reported to emergency services via the 911 hotline. Police officers were immediately dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they assessed the severity of the incident and called for medical assistance.
Paramedics swiftly arrived at the scene to evaluate the victims. They were then transported to the nearest hospital for further medical care.
The Maya Train project truck was identified as the probable cause of the accident at the scene. However, traffic experts are expected to carry out a thorough investigation to conclusively determine who was at fault based on the available evidence.
In the meantime, both vehicles involved in the accident have been moved to an impound lot. They will remain there until responsibilities are assigned based on the investigation's findings.
