The "Parque de las Palapas" in Cancún is undergoing a significant green transformation. As part of the park's rehabilitation efforts, four trees and 150 specimens of regional vegetation have been planted. The Benito Juárez City Council has stated that the goal is to create tree-filled public spaces, making Cancún a more sustainable city. This initiative also aims to promote environmental education among Cancún's residents.

The "Parque de las Palapas", situated in Cancún's downtown area, is a popular gathering spot for hundreds of families and tourists. The final stages of the park's rehabilitation are currently underway. These improvements include the creation of a 2,800 square meter pedestrian area, the installation of 64 new lights and 50 new benches, the construction of two waste chambers, three new playgrounds, and 50 parking spaces.
