The National Electoral Institute's District Council 02 successfully concluded its Early Voting for People in Pre-Trial Detention (VAPPP) day in Quintana Roo. The program was held in the Social Reintegration Center and saw the participation of 111 out of 131 eligible citizens.

The voting process was conducted in adherence to strict security protocols and was supported by the Secretariat of Citizen Security. A total of 111 individuals were able to cast their votes early, which are now securely stored in the District Council 02's warehouses. The votes will be scrutinized and counted on June 2.

The initiative also extended to include pre-trial detainees from prisons in Cancun, Cozumel, and Chetumal. In total, 809 individuals in pre-trial detention across these locations participated in the early voting program.
