“Cozumel Cruise Ship Bonanza: 21 Vessels Expected Next Week!”

Cozumel's primary ports are experiencing a surge in activity. After recording the lowest figure so far this year, the upcoming week is set to welcome 21 cruise ships carrying approximately 39,000 tourists. The influx of visitors, from May 20 to May 26, is expected to generate over 85.5 million pesos in revenue.

The busiest day will be Saturday, with five cruise ships scheduled to dock at the SSA Mexico international port. Monday and Tuesday also have a high volume of arrivals, with four ships expected each day. However, no arrivals are planned for Sunday.

Puerta Maya, the port with the largest docking capacity, will see the most action with nine arrivals. Seven cruise ships will dock at the neighboring SSA Mexico port, while five are scheduled to arrive at the centrally located Punta Langosta.

Each cruise ship is estimated to bring an average of three thousand tourists, including passengers and crew. With an average spend of 80 dollars per person, the total economic impact is projected to be a substantial 85.68 million pesos.
