The Fifteenth Naval Zone of the Mexican Navy (Semar) has seized 28 packages suspected to contain illegal substances. The packages, wrapped in brown tape, were discovered during a routine ground surveillance patrol along the coastline near Playacar Beach.

The naval personnel found a plastic bundle containing 28 smaller packages. Each of these smaller packages contained a green resin, which is believed to be an illicit substance. The personnel immediately secured the bundle for further investigation.

The confiscated packages were handed over to the General Prosecutor's Office based in Cancun, Q. Roo. The total weight of the packages is approximately 320 kilograms. The substance inside the packages has characteristics similar to Cannabis Sativa L. resin, a known narcotic. The substance will be further analyzed as part of the ongoing investigation.
