Between July 18th and 22nd, the first-ever Cozumel Vivo Fest will take place on the island of Cozumel. This festival celebrates the sea, life, and the island's origins, promoting a reconnection with nature and personal wellbeing. The event also aims to preserve the island's rich cultural and natural heritage.

Cozumel Vivo Fest is more than just a festival, it's a movement aimed at appreciating and admiring the island's beauty and biocultural wealth. The event provides a platform for local organizations and businesses to showcase their efforts in protecting the island's ecosystems and discuss actions for a sustainable future.

Promoted by the Cozumel Hotel Association, Hotel B, GaiaLab, and Parley for the Oceans, the festival will feature local and international artists, facilitators, and Mexican elders. These individuals will share their wisdom, tools, and actions to guide attendees towards a reconnection with their essence and nature through music, art, and movement.

The festival's activities will focus on four main themes: Art and Culture, Nature and Sustainability, Childhood and Wellbeing, and Sport. This diverse range of activities aims to cater to all attendees. The festival's ultimate goal is to transform Cozumel into a leading example of planet and humanity care.

On July 18th, the 1st Cozumel Island Biosphere Reserve Forum will take place. This forum aims to promote dialogue and reflection on sustainable practices and highlight the actions already implemented on the island.

The festival will officially commence on July 19th at Benito Juarez Park. The day will be filled with workshops and activities for the whole family about ocean care and transforming waste into art. The festival's opening will also feature the arrival of a Mayan canoe, greeted by elders from various parts of Mexico, symbolizing a tribute to the goddess Ixchel and the island's Mayan journey.

On July 20th and 21st, events will be held at some of the island's most magical locations, including the Punta Sur eco-tourist park and Natural Reserve and the Chankanaab natural park.

Cozumel Vivo Fest will offer a wide range of activities, including cycling, yoga classes, moon circles, wisdom talks, art workshops, and more. The festival will also feature a music lineup with musicians like Esquivel, Jin Yerei, and Lola Villa, who will perform alongside local artists. The event is open to all and designed to be enjoyed by everyone, including children.
