Alejandra Escobar, the founder of the media outlet "Voz de Mujer Peninsular", has confirmed that she and two other reporters are accused of "illegal deprivation of liberty". This accusation has resulted in an arrest warrant, confining her to her home in Playa del Carmen, located in the municipality of Solidaridad. She is currently awaiting a suspension against this detention.

Escobar, a journalist originally from Yucatan, was informed about the "alleged arrest warrant" issued against her and her two colleagues. The identities of these colleagues have not been revealed. "We have all been unjustly accused of the same crime," she stated.
