Remittance Boom: Quintana Roo Sees $95.3M Influx

In the first quarter of this year, Quintana Roo saw a significant increase in remittances, with the region receiving a total of $95.3 million. This represents a 3% increase compared to the same period last year.

According to a report from the Bank of Mexico, the region received an additional two million dollars from January to March, compared to the $93.2 million received in the same period last year.

The municipality of Benito Juárez led the way in remittance receipts, receiving $38.6 million. Cozumel also saw a significant amount, recording $19 million in remittances.
