Maria Patron Pat, the leader of the activist group "Searching Mothers," has issued a warning that they will continue to disrupt traffic on Cancun's Kukulcán Boulevard and potentially block access to Cancun International Airport. This action will continue until they feel local authorities are adequately addressing their concerns. Patron Pat maintains that her group is supported by several associations and that their actions are not influenced or manipulated by outside forces.

Patron Pat argues that the hotel zone, a popular tourist area, is a public space that belongs to all citizens. She asserts that her group will occupy this space as often as necessary until they feel the authorities are fulfilling their responsibilities. She also noted the irony that a small group of six people has been able to significantly disrupt the primary tourist destination in Latin America.

In response, a local hotel industry representative has voiced his concerns about the group's actions. He claims to have identified those responsible for the demonstrations and plans to take legal action against them for obstructing public areas. While he respects the cause that the "Searching Mothers" are fighting for, he accuses the group of inciting and manipulating the public.
