The organizing committee of the PGA Tour Latin America announced that the season finale will be the Bupa Championship PGA Riviera Maya edition, held July 22nd to 25th in Tulum.

TULUM – The season began on March 20, 2020 with the Estrella del Mar Open tournament in Mazatlán, Mexico but the COVID-19 pandemic forced the PGA TOUR Latinoamérica to postpone the season for nine months. The tournament restarted again in December 2020 and will close out on the Riviera Maya.

Before hitting the greens in Tulum, PGA Tour Latin America held the sixth tournament of the season in Bucaramanga, Colombia, where Sam Stevens claimed victory in the Holcim Colombia Classic presented by Volvo. This week, the Tour will be playing in Quito, Ecuador, with the Banco del Pacífico Open tournament at the Quito Tennis and Golf Club.

Todd Rhinehart, Executive Director of the PGA TOUR Latinoamérica, commented that this season, which has spanned more than 16 months, the longest in the history of the Tour, will culminate in a beautiful and challenging place.

“Finishing in Tulum, hosted by Mexico, will give a symmetry to our season that we started so long ago, in Mazatlán, ” Rhinehart said.

Fernando Padrón, PGA Riviera Maya Director of Golf remarked “Hosting a PGA TOUR Latinoamérica tournament is an incredible opportunity. Being able to have our course as the setting for the final event is very special. We are excited to welcome the PGA TOUR Latin America, and receive their players, partners and fans in the Riviera Maya in a few days ”.
