“Abandoned Road to Dziuché Lagoon: 20 Years of Neglect! Will It Ever Be Fixed?”

The road leading to the Dziuché lagoon, constructed 20 years ago, has been left in a state of disrepair due to lack of maintenance. This has resulted in a significant decrease in visitors to the area.

José Sabino Ku Che, former ejidal commissioner of Dziuche, highlighted the lack of action from municipal authorities regarding the road's condition. The lagoon was once a popular destination for locals during Easter Week, but the deteriorating road conditions have deterred potential visitors.

The road was initially built with the help of local residents to promote tourism to the lagoon. However, it has now been completely abandoned. Ku Che noted, "Even locals avoid the lagoon due to the poor state of the road. It's too dangerous to travel, even by bicycle."

In years past, the holiday season would see the area bustling with cars filled with families eager to enjoy the lagoon. Now, they opt for other destinations out of fear that their vehicles might get damaged on the rough road.

Despite bringing this issue to the attention of the municipal authorities, Ku Che stated that no action has been taken. Promises of road rehabilitation after Easter Week have yet to be fulfilled. He expressed regret that the lagoon's potential as a tourist attraction is being squandered due to the road's poor condition.
