Two men were severely injured after being hit and dragged by a truck in Cancún. The victims were riding on a motorcycle when they were struck by a wood-carrying truck on the Arco Vial. They were dragged approximately 10 meters before the truck could come to a halt.
The accident took place near Region 252, in the vicinity of the Vista Real subdivision. Witnesses' accounts align with the Traffic Department's investigation. They suggest that the motorcyclists failed to make a mandatory stop before entering the Arco Vial, leading to the collision with the truck.
The truck driver was unable to stop immediately, resulting in the motorcycle and its riders being dragged for several meters. When the truck finally came to a stop, both men were in serious condition. Emergency medical assistance was immediately called to the scene.
Paramedics provided first aid at the scene before transporting the victims to a nearby hospital. Both men suffered from limb fractures. One of the victims also sustained a severe head injury that put his life at risk. He was given immediate priority treatment due to the severity of his injuries.
The truck driver was taken to the Traffic Department for further investigation to determine responsibility for the accident.
