The National Water Commission of the National Meteorological Service has forecasted heavy rains for some areas of Quintana Roo. This is due to a trough, or low-pressure channel, that continues over the peninsular region, coupled with the influx of moisture from the Caribbean Sea towards the region and Quintana Roo.
These conditions are expected to result in partly cloudy skies with an increase in cloudiness during the day. Strong rains with very intense downpours are anticipated in some areas of Quintana Roo. The weather is expected to be hot to very hot, with temperatures ranging between 25 and 37 degrees Celsius. Wind gusts of 20 to 45 kilometers per hour are also expected, primarily along the coast, as per the Coordination of Civil Protection of Quintana Roo.
In Cancun, the week begins with a partly cloudy to cloudy sky, accompanied by rain showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures are expected to fluctuate between 27 and 38 degrees Celsius, with a heat index of 41, according to the Civil Protection Directorate of Benito Juarez.
In Playa del Carmen, the forecast predicts a partly cloudy sky that will increase with scattered showers and rain in the afternoon. Moderate to fresh winds from 15 to 25 kilometers per hour are expected, with stronger gusts.
