Taxi Driver Shot in Head in Violent Robbery – Shocking Incident in Cancun!

A taxi driver affiliated with the "Lázaro Cárdenas del Río" Union was the victim of a violent attack in the early hours of the morning. The incident took place in the Misión de las Flores neighborhood of Playa del Carmen, specifically on Paraíso avenue, near the National Guard garrison.

According to initial reports, the driver was shot in the head during a robbery. The assailants, who had posed as passengers, shot him after robbing him. Despite the severity of the injury, the bullet only grazed his head, leaving him seriously injured but conscious.

The driver, believed to be around 40 years old, was operating taxi unit E-295 at the time of the assault. After being shot, he lost control of the vehicle, which ended up on a sidewalk as he attempted to find help.

Private paramedics were quick to arrive at the scene and immediately transported the driver to the General Hospital. He was in critical condition and underwent surgery upon arrival.

As of now, there have been no arrests in connection with this violent attack.
