The 25th edition of the Cummins "Challenge the Wind" 2024 Hobie Cat 16 Cup was held in favorable weather conditions this Sunday. The day saw five thrilling races, with Guatemalan competitors Jason Hess and Sofia Ponce maintaining a narrow lead after nine races. Despite facing challenges on the sea, they secured a total of 15 points.

In the first round of the day, Hess and Ponce scored less than 10 points, which posed some difficulties for them. However, they managed to hold onto their first-place position.

Venezuelan competitors Yamil Saba and Maria Orihvera had an impressive day, moving into second place. They finished first in the eighth and ninth races and secured second place in the remaining races, earning them a total of 18 points.

Brazilian racers Felipe Frey and Geisa Frey also accumulated 18 points, securing third place. Despite their high score, they placed third in one of the rounds, which kept them in third place after the tie-breaking system was implemented.
