The Mayor of Benito Juárez, Ana Paty Peralta, has extended an invitation to all to attend the Guelaguetza 2024, a traditional Oaxacan festival, on August 2, 3, and 4 at the newly refurbished Las Palapas Park in Cancun.
"Don't miss out on this grand celebration. The festivities will kick off from Tulum Avenue, starting from the Monument to the History of Mexico, moving towards Reforma Square and finally culminating at the iconic Las Palapas Park," said Mayor Peralta.
She fondly recalled the eighth edition of the Guelaguetza in 2023, which brought life and color to the area, attracting over 40,000 attendees. The festival showcased gastronomic delights, crafts, and artistic exhibitions.
Mayor Peralta strongly encouraged everyone not to miss the closing ceremony on Sunday, August 4. The finale will feature the traditional Oaxacan Calenda, a parade filled with dances and music, following the same route until reaching Las Palapas Park.
