The State Attorney General of Quintana Roo, Raciel López Salazar, has confirmed the identification of the criminal group involved in the tragic killing of a minor at Playa Caracol, Cancún. The incident has shocked the local community, and authorities have vowed to apprehend and severely punish those responsible.
"We have fully identified the perpetrators, and they will soon be apprehended," stated López Salazar at the recent Peace and Voluntary Disarmament Fair. His statement addresses growing public concern about the investigation into the homicide, which took place on July 28 in Cancún's Hotel Zone.
The fatal incident occurred at Playa Caracol, a popular beach in Cancún's Hotel Zone. The Attorney General clarified that the minor was not the intended target of the attack, but was tragically caught in the crossfire of violence aimed at another individual on the beach. The victim was with his family and they were preparing to leave when the shooting happened.
Authorities launched an investigation immediately after the incident to track down those responsible. "We have already identified the perpetrators, they are a criminal group, and they will soon be apprehended," López Salazar reiterated. This firm stance highlights the authorities' commitment to swiftly resolving this case.
In light of this and other violent incidents, authorities have increased surveillance measures in beach areas. The goal is to ensure the safety and peace of mind of both residents and tourists during the busy summer season.
López Salazar reaffirmed his commitment to bring those responsible to justice, promising they will face "very severe justice" for their actions. This strong stance aims not only to deliver justice for the victim and his family, but also to bolster security in the region and prevent future acts of violence.
