Mexican archer Alejandra Valencia ended her run in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games after losing in the Women's individual archery quarterfinals to South Korean Sihyeon Lim, the world's top-ranked competitor. The match was a nail-biter, with both athletes starting off with perfect scores. Valencia briefly took the lead, but ultimately, the match ended 6-4 in Lim's favor.

This intense match saw Valencia fall just short of the medal round, losing 4-6 to Lim in the recurve archery event at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. With this, Valencia bids goodbye to the Paris 2024 Games, where she earned her second Olympic medal as part of the women's archery team that won bronze.

Valencia, along with fellow archers Ángela Ruiz and Ana Paula Vázquez, made headlines for winning bronze for Mexico at Paris 2024. Reflecting on her performance, Valencia stated that she needs time to fully appreciate her accomplishments.

She is among the few athletes to have won multiple medals for Mexico in the history of the Olympic Games. Valencia said, "Once I get back to Mexico and take a break, I'll gradually take in everything. It's been tough, but I know there's room for improvement."

In addition to her recent success, Valencia also won a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics as part of the mixed team archery event with 'Abuelo' Álvarez.
